Link Campus University Italy

LCU operates since 1999 as the Italian filiation of the University of Malta and was admitted into the Italian University System by decree of the Minister for Education, University and Research (n. 374 – 21 September 2011) and following a favorable opinion of the National Agency for the Evaluation of Universities and Research (Anvur). Link Campus University is located in Rome and its mission is to promote research, studies and training activities. The main goals is the development and dissemination of knowledge in the fields of Economics, International and Political Relations, Business Organization, Communication, Legal matters and all other disciplines of socio-economic, artistic, cultural, environmental and health related bases. The vision of LCU is to contribute to the development ok knowledge and skills in a challenge world. Additionally, the University collaborates with the private-public institutions and companies at all levels transferring expertise, know-how and technology.
Link Campus University’s Research Department is composed by Area Research Centres and Thematic Research Centres.

System Dynamics Italian Chapter (SYDIC) Italy

SYDIC is the Italian national branch of the System Dynamics Society (www.systemdynamics.org). The Chapter has been founded back in 1995 but legally recognized by the Italian Law as a Cultural Association for Social Promotion, in 2015. The mission of SYDIC is to support the SD Society to promote, spread out and disseminate the wide use and uptake of the system dynamics methodology and, more in general, of all systemic approaches to modelling & simulation at national and international level. SYDIC counts around 60 ordinary associates from all over Italy and a few also from abroad, as well as a wider audience of around 200 volunteer associates (members of our community, they signed up on the website and mailing list). Among its members, SYDIC includes experts, consultants and entrepreneurs interested in the System Dynamics methodology in various ways, as well as several top-notch scholars from the Italian academic & scientific community(Research Centres and Universities in Rome, Milan, Bologna, Turin, Naples, Genoa, Firenze, Palermo, etc.), representing knowledge and competences from Management & Social Sciences to Engineering and Natural Sciences.
SYDIC is currently deeply involved in disseminating and promoting the uptake of Systems Thinking & System Dynamics at various levels, from the Primary and Secondary education to the development of such competencies in youngsters and adults in managing positions. Additionally, SYDIC is promoting the Systems Thinking approach also in various vertical sectors, especially by means of the development of research projects (already a few important experiences at national and international level).

University of Thessaly Greece

Department of Physical Education and Sport Science, University of Thessaly
University of Thessaly, with 37 Departments, and 8 schools is a University with its own identity and with a prominent position in the Greek national educational system. University of Thessaly provides undergraduate and postgraduate programs and extra-curricular modules in specific research and business fields, for over 43.000 students. The Department of Physical Education and Sport Science was established in 1984 and it is located in Trikala. Four – year studies in the Department lead to a Degree in Physical Education and Sport Science qualifying its graduates to teach in all levels of Education. The focus of the studies is primarily on outdoor activities and sports which are greatly favoured by the surroundings of Trikala.

Research Innovation & Development Lab (ReadLab) Greece

Research Innovation and Development Lab – ReadLab is a Greece-based research institution that aims to generate positive social and sustainable impact through innovation. ReadLab delivers high-quality research, training, educational, consulting and ICT services to local, national, European and international levels, adopting a human-centered approach and aiming at the promotion of sustainable development and growth.
ReadLab brings together a multidisciplinary team of highly specialized researchers from the fields of engineering, communication technologies, education and social and political sciences with a long experience in project management and implementation of national, EU-funded and international projects. They have cooperated with a wide range of private, public and non-profit organizations in Europe, Middle East and Latin America and the Western Balkans, transferring technical knowledge and designing novel products.

Symplexis Greece

Symplexis is a Greek non-for-profit organization that strives to ensure equal opportunities for all through actions and measures that build skills, empower and promote active engagement and participation focusing on the most vulnerable categories of the population and particularly those with fewer opportunities.
Symplexis’ mission is to elevate social cohesion through integrated actions and project-based activities that aim at promoting the inclusion of disadvantaged groups at risk of marginalization and exclusion, while promoting and protecting the rights of various types of population groups that face discrimination focusing on the empowerment and support of victims, awareness raising and information sharing at all levels.
Symplexis’ activity builds on user-led approaches and interventions around four main axes of expertise, namely:
• The social and economic inclusion of those most in need comprising a wide variety of activities aimed at reducing poverty, preventing marginalisation and promoting the sustainable integration of disadvantaged groups, particularly focusing on Third Country Nationals.
• The protection and promotion of human rights through activities and interventions that address the needs of a wide range of discriminated population groups, such as women, children and elderly people, victims of violence and human trafficking, the LGBTQI community, Roma and unaccompanied minors, migrants and asylum seekers/ refugees.
• Upskilling, capacity building and empowerment of vulnerable groups with the aim to promote equal access to formal and non-formal education for all and promote lifelong learning focusing on low-skills individuals that face difficulties in (re) the labour market.
• Child and youth development through actions and projects designed to reduce youth poverty, promote child protection and stimulate social inclusion and development.
